Who we are
This website and the services described on it are provided by TCBC South Limited (company no. 15726853), trading as The Car Buying Club, registered in England and Wales. Our address is Unit 3D Sopwith Crescent, Hurricane Way, Wickford, Essex SS11 8YU.
The valuation service
Valuations we provide — online, by phone or in person — are offers to treat, not contracts. Figures are based on the information you provide about your vehicle, and a purchase only becomes binding once both parties agree it in writing at completion.
Offer conditions
All offers are conditional on the vehicle matching its description at inspection. Where it doesn't — for example undisclosed damage, missing history or a material difference in condition — we may revise or withdraw the offer, and we will explain why before anything is signed. You are free to decline a revised offer.
Trade offers
As part of valuing your vehicle we may obtain offers for it from vetted trade buyers. You're free to decline any offer we make, and you never pay us a fee.
Payment
Payment is made by bank transfer on collection, once the vehicle's documentation has been verified and the paperwork completed.
Your obligations
You agree to provide accurate information about your vehicle, to have the legal right to sell it, and to disclose any outstanding finance on it before completion.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Otherwise, our liability in connection with a vehicle purchase is limited to the value of that transaction.
Website
The content of this website is provided in good faith for general information. We don't guarantee the website will always be available or error-free.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
